With an impressive 126 trains running per day, the Leonardo express is the non-stop service that connects the Roma Termini train station, the main interchange for all public transport services as well as the lines for Florence/Bologna/Milan/Venice and for Naples/Salerno, to the Rome Fiumicino Airport in just 32 minutes, with departures scheduled every 15 minutes. This is by far the fastest way to get to the center of Rome.
The train station is conveniently located inside the airport.
If you’re travelling with a group, you can take advantage of the ‘Mini-groups’ fare to purchase 4 tickets in a single transaction for a lower price.
Remember that if you choose Leonardo express:
- children under the age of 4 travel for free;
- for every paying adult, one child over 4 and under 12 years of age can travel for free;
- you can bring a small dog with you (with a certificate of registration with the canine registry) at no extra cost, or bring a cat or other small pets inside an appropriate carrier;
- your luggage, including large-sized luggage, is not subject to a surcharge.
Dedicated seating and bathrooms suitable for people with reduced mobility are provided on all Leonardo express trains, and guide dogs travel free of charge.
Integrated Metrebus tickets are NOT valid on Leonardo express trains.
