Can groups get special pricing with Trenitalia?

If you travel in a group or school group of at least 10 paying passengers in first and second class, as well as Business, Premium, and Standard service levels on Frecciarossa and Frecciargento, you will receive a 60% discount. Executive service and lounge access are not included. The ticket can be purchased and exchanged until midnight on the 5th day before the train's departure.

For the journey of companions, one free ticket is granted for every 12 paying passengers, up to a maximum of five.
Booking change can only be Once, for free, until one hour after train departure (in compliance with the terms and conditions of the fare previously purchased):
- Before train departure, at any ticket office,group office or issuing agency
- After train departure, only at the ticket office or group office at the departure station
Change of name can be requested an unlimited number of times from the day of issue and until the departure of the booked train. After the train has departed, changes are no longer permitted.
The refund is allowed, with a 20% deduction for each passenger, until midnight on the fifth day prior to the train's departure time. After departure no refund is due.
In addition to the option of reserving seats by paying for tickets immediately, you can also book your journey by paying a deposit of €5.00 and the remainder by the fifth day before departure. Before the final balance is paid, the number of passengers on the trip and the departure date can be changed.

Purchase option:

In addition to the possibility of reserving seats by immediately purchasing travel tickets, it is possible to exercise the purchase option up until midnight on the fifth day before the departure of the train concerned, upon payment of € 5.00 for each member the group.
Until midnight on the 30th day before the departure of the booked train, it is possible to change the reservation and change the number of participants (in the event of an increase, a further 5 euros will be due for each added component, in the event of a decrease in the number of participants the cancellation without penalty of the seat to which the passenger has given up is envisaged).
From the 29th to the 5th day prior to departure, for seats to which the passenger has renounced, reimbursement of the amounts paid for the purchase option is no longer permitted, which must be confirmed with payment of the balance by the fifth day prior to departure, to avoid making the reserved seats available again.
